ABSTRACT
Sample-handling procedures and certain modifications or accessories for the gas chromatograph that have been found useful in examining soil atmospheres for gaseous forms of nitrogen are described. Also described are columns and techniques that permit the separation and measurement of molecular N, N2O, NO, NO2, NH3, O2 and CO2. A special gas sampling valve, a manifold assembly, a multiple selector valve and a needle and manometer arrangement are diagrammed.
