An Evaluation of Imipramine Hydrochloride as a Reagent for the Quantitative Determination of Nitrate in Plant Material and Soil Extracts1

ABSTRACT

A qualitative determination for nitrates was investigated for possible use as a rapid, routine, quantitative, colorimetric procedure for nitrates in soil extracts and plant material. The inherent difficulties and the limitations of the procedure are shown and discussed.
