A Method for Visualizing the Flow of Solutions Through Porous Media1

K. C. Knoll and B. F. Hajek2

ABSTRACT

Grouting agents which bind particles together were used to demonstrate the flow of solutions through porous media. The grout was infiltered into a soil-sand fraction, beach sand and spherical glass beads. The solidified masses showed the irregular wetted volume of sand media and the uniform glass bead wetted volume.
