A Modified Sand Culture Method for Rhizobium Assay1

L. F. Elliott and J. W. Blaylock2

ABSTRACT

Usual methods of conducting Rhizobium-legume effectivity trials failed because of wild Rhizobium contamination caused by dust storms. A modified method was developed that successfully reduced contamination. The culture method was successful in the greenhouse and in the growth room.
