ABSTRACT
A model was developed describing the dissolution and subsequent transport of gypsum from a soil column by combining the one-dimensional convection-dispersion equation with a kinetic expression for the dissolution process. The resulting partial differential equations were solved numerically by the method of lines. Results are presented showing the effect of the various parameters in the model on calculated concentration-time curves.
