r2 = 0.5 m2, for a radius of r = 0.40 m. This area is one half of the total area (A1 = 1 m2) averaged transpiration area, which is a product of the emitter spacing (1 m) and row spacing (1 m). The other marked surface area A2 = 0.15 m x 0.4 m = 0.06 m2.
